It was about eight pm on a Wednesday and though we were assured a rainless afternoon, it hadn't stopped raining! Paul and I were resting there talking over the footy rankings, prepared for the 8th telephone call to arrive. Inevitably we got the call from a girl on a business trip who had arrived at the Texaco filling garage in Little Bookham and put the wrong fuel in her diesel Toyota hire car by mistake. The unfortunate lady was rather troubled it seemed, stating "I just can't believe that I have destroyed the car! I'm so used to filling up my petrol vehicle I totally didn't remember that I was running a diesel!" We asked her to relax and not to worry, and also that these things regrettably often happen. She managed to move the car to a secure area and, seeing that it was no more than a few miles off from where we were, we could get to the lady quickly. The wrong fuel was removed and she was able to return to the Travelodge she was living in. Although we got really soaked, it was all worthwhile to watch her drive away relaxed and much less anxious. Another misfuel correction in Hammersmith and Fulham done well in my opinion!

Tank filled with water - Water can contaminate your engine and it should be taken out of the fuel system to prevent damages and rust in your engine. Once you accelerate hard your engine, it may begin to rev up and jolt. Contamination like this is not only common in boats. This can happen to the car too due to the jerry cans that were previously utilized as a water container then later used as fuel container where water was not completely emptied.
AdBlue contamination of your engine - AdBlue is not a fuel admixture. It's designed to check harmful discharges through the exhaust. Your car has a special tank for the AdBlue. But, if you put it in the fuel tank, you?ve contaminated your engine. And this occurs because many people aren't aware of the purpose and place of the AdBlue. Many people get trapped into this confusion. If you have done exactly the same, we're always at our toes. We'll be pleased to help.
Red diesel contamination - This incident seldom happens to vehicle owners but sometimes it finds its way to a car?s tank. There are circumstances were filling up this fuel occur due to tiredness or distraction. According to AA, there are 1500 garages in UK that sell this diesel. There is indeed a possibility of it getting in to your tank. If that takes place, we know how to handle it.
Driving with old or stale fuel - Old fuel is not good for the engine. In case your vehicle hasn't been driven for a while, its fuel gets degraded. Also, you might put in a fuel stored long ago. The engine doesn't run smooth and well. To get the things back on track, drain the degraded fuel from the tank. We are able to do that for you.

I had appreciated a terrific day fishing on the weekend and was feeling contented with myself the next morning as I headed out to assist a new couple who were away in Little Bookham. They'd broken down after filling the wrong fuel into their MG, and the car was about half an hour's travel away. I arrived at their car and smirked to myself as I heard to the wife telling off her partner for being so silly. "Exactly how could you conceivably manage to put the wrong fuel in the car?" she said to him. I wanted to clarify that this comes to pass on daily basis in Hammersmith and Fulham and that it's nothing to get worried about, but he still got an earful by his better half. Poor chap. Anyhow, I cleaned up and removed all the wrong fuel, gave the fuel system a flush and filled it up with the right fuel. While watching them drive down the road I shouted so long and thought about what her indoors would ask me if I did the same thing... I would personally under no circumstances hear the end of it!
